The main project we undertake in South Somerset is MY Life.

MY Life is a partnership between Worth Unlimited, Street Space and Monks Yard, a conference centre in South Somerset.

MY Life is in a unique position to engage with young people locally as each partner brings something different to the organisation:

Streetspace is a detached youth project contacting young people where they are in the community; on the streets, in the parks and hanging around.

Monks Yard as a quality site fosters a great learning atmosphere and provides opportunities for practical work and rural skills.

Quality Experiences
MY Life is experienced in running various activities for young people. Currently we offer Archery and Team Building and are developing mud karts, orienteering and air rifling. Ideal if you want a one off session for a school, or local organisation as well as regular sessions to add value to your existing provision.

Quality Provision
MY Life offers an alternative education and personal development programme accredited by the National Open College Network and developed through Worth Unlimited. It enables young people to develop their social, personal, group and employability skills. See more about the programme here.

Quality Community
MY Life is becoming a key hub in the area for rural skills such as dry stone walling, thatching and hedge laying. We are also working alongside local businesses and charities to develop social enterprise experiences and Global Citizenship projects which we hope to pilot in 2010.

Through the partnership we are already in a unique position to offer a variety of pre-employment experiences and vocational skills such as health and beauty, mechanics, food and drink, building skills as well as providing mentoring and a spiritual space. There is much talk about joined up thinking to support young people and help local communities, MY Life is working to make this a reality for the young people and communities we serve.

MY Life is flexible and young person centred so offers a combination of any of the above opportunities tailored to the young people and bespoke to your organisation.
