“Worth Unlimited have a wide ranging portfolio of interventions which support young people, building hope, unlocking potential and helping them understand their true worth. Our programmes are flexible, innovative and designed to help young people where they are at. The outcomes vary from programme to programme but all make an important contribution to the achievement of the government’s Every Child Matters outcome intentions for young people.
Our in house family of informal education programmes is designed to be flexible enough to work in a range of contexts and is designed to help young people reflect on their own identity, their relationships with others and their transition into a world characterised not by independence but interdependence. The WWLI Diploma is a 390 hours personal development programme aimed at providing young people with the tools needed to flourish in society. It can either be delivered as a group or one-one programme. The programme provides learners with support in developing their personal, basic and group skills alongside the opportunity to develop a range of optional vocational skills. More>
Our Mentoring training and support package has been approved by the National Mentoring Network. We release voluntary community mentors, salaried staff and younger peer mentors to bring significant support, encouragement, advice and guidance to individual young people in the context of a mentoring relationship. A determination to ensure that all young people have access to the services they need and are able to make a positive contribution to their local communities means crossing cultural barriers to go to where young people are at, to meet them on their ground and on their terms. Our detached youth work programme provides a safe and appropriate framework in which this can be done. More>
Our Key Skills centres ensure that young people have the opportunity to demonstrate what they are capable of regardless of their educational background and no matter what their learning style is and in doing so, establish a set of skills which form some of the most important building blocks essential for a successful transition to adult life. More>
Tackling the issue of sexuality among teenagers and providing safe space for young people to gather necessary information and think through issues of identity and relationships is at the heart of the newly introduced Romance Academy training programme. More>
Some young people still approach adulthood with no confidence in their ability to read and this limits their personal confidence and ability to access better employment opportunities. That Reading Thing provides a framework of support on an individual basis which gradually reintroduces young people to the skills of reading in an accessible but non patronising manner, with remarkable results.” More>
