Church and Community Partners

Across the UK we are developing partnerships with local churches and community groups to work with young people who have not had the best start in life and lack real aspiration and hope. Our aim is build hope, unlock potential and realise worth in every young person we work with.

Worth Unlimited exists to ensure that this generation of young people get the chance to break the cycles of poverty and lack of aspiration passed on from generation to generation.

We believe in the importance of local churches and community groups being at the forefront of this type of approach.

How we can work with your church or community group

If your church or community group is in an area of high deprivation or you live in such an area then we would love to talk to you about becoming a partner with us in this valuable work.

If you church is in an area of high deprivation we can look to partner with you in developing a sustainable youthwork project with a package of support that starts with an initial free consultation from a Worth Unlimited team member*.

After a consultation visit we can follow this with a meeting with a key group of volunteers, church members and local community contacts for an evening or weekend meeting to ascertain interest and look at developing some initial aims and objectives for a local project
(for this event one worker would facilitate an evening at the cost of £100 plus travel expenses (maximum of £50))

If it is agreed to continue the relationship with Worth Unlimited then three packages of support will then be on offer dependent on funding, location and what support can be offered from other branches of Worth Unlimited.

*Please note that we consider areas in the top 20% of the most deprived to be an area of the UK where Worth Unlimited could work – feel free to email us at partners@worthunlimited.co.uk with your location details that include a postcode to check whether you may qualify for our free support. Please also note that we will charge travel expenses for any visit (maximum limit will be set at £75).)

If your church is not located in an area of significant deprivation then we would appreciate opportunities to share about our work at a church meeting to encourage church members to become either enabling (giving) or active (volunteering) partners with Worth Unlimited.

There may also be opportunities for churches to consider partnering with a project in a local area that suffers from high levels of poverty where we can facilitate volunteering opportunities amongst young people and adults.
