Introduction

Reasons for these statements:

  • To enable Worth to affirm its distinctive organisational approach within the context of European legislation and any subsequent legislation that makes a particular faith or value base to an organisation difficult to maintain.
  • To affirm the common values and practices of Worth which will underpin our policies and future practices.
  • To be clear in the ‘market place’ about who we are and what we stand for.

Principles to these statements:

  • These statements are in the context of legislation and overall direction of the organisation. They should therefore seek to be ‘Christian’ whilst inclusive and not tied to one particular theological tradition. This enables a broad range of funding, partnerships and staff.
  • The statements should be simple so as to be inclusive yet clear.
  • We will foster creativity and innovation and remain focused on socially excluded young people
